1. About Mauritanian Eye
Mauritanian Eye is an information, community and connection platform about travel in Mauritania. We are not an official government authority, tour operator, travel agency or transport provider. We do not sell flights, accommodation, train tickets or transfers directly.
2. No guarantee of travel conditions
Mauritanian Eye does not guarantee travel safety, prices, schedules, routes, border conditions, visas, operator availability or access to any site, vehicle or service. Travel information may change at any time and must be confirmed locally before you travel or commit to a plan.
3. Community-submitted information
Updates, comments, photos, route reports and answers submitted by the community are moderated, but may still contain errors, outdated information or personal opinions. Use community content as a starting point, not as official guidance.
4. User responsibilities
You must not submit false, misleading, dangerous or illegal information, impersonate others, publish private contact details without consent, or use the platform to harass, scam or defraud anyone. Accounts may be suspended or removed for abuse, spam or fraud.
5. Operators & local partners
Operators and partners listed on Mauritanian Eye remain fully responsible for their own services, pricing, licensing, insurance and customer relationships. Mauritanian Eye may connect travelers with local providers but does not guarantee provider performance, availability or quality.
6. Marketplace requests
Requests sent through the marketplace are introductions, not confirmed bookings. A booking only exists once the operator has explicitly accepted and confirmed it directly with you. No payment processing is currently provided through the platform unless explicitly enabled in the future.
7. Map & POI data
Points of interest, coordinates, opening hours and practical map data are informational only and may be inaccurate or outdated. Do not rely on a single source for navigation in remote areas.
8. Iron Ore Train
Mauritanian Eye does not facilitate unauthorized wagon-top riding. We only help with legal, locally confirmed logistics, passenger-carriage information, group coordination, transport and local support. Anyone choosing to travel on the train does so at their own risk and under local rules.
9. User-generated content license
By submitting photos, videos, text or other content, you confirm that you have the right to share it and grant Mauritanian Eye a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, moderate, edit for length or quality, and distribute it within the platform and its official channels. You can request removal of your content at any time.
10. Account suspension
We may suspend or remove accounts that violate these Terms, the Community Guidelines, or that are used for spam, fraud or abuse.
11. Limitation of liability
Travel in Mauritania involves inherent risks. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mauritanian Eye is not liable for loss, injury, damage or expense arising from third-party services, route or weather conditions, community-submitted information or independent decisions made before or during your trip. 12. Changes
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced on the site.
