How we use it
We use this data to operate the platform, respond to your requests, moderate community content, improve travel information, coordinate with verified local partners when you ask, and keep the service safe.
Public vs. private fields
- Public profiles only show public-safe fields you choose to share (username, display name, avatar, bio, approved contributions).
- Your email is never shared publicly.
- WhatsApp and phone numbers, when you provide them, are used only to coordinate a specific request and are not displayed publicly without your consent.
Notifications
Notifications are currently in-app only. We do not send email or push notifications. If we ever enable email notifications in the future, it will be opt-in and clearly announced.
Newsletter & guide signup
Newsletter and travel-guide signups are independent from account creation. Subscribing does not create an account, and creating an account does not subscribe you. You can unsubscribe at any time.
Sharing
We share request data only with the local partners required to respond to your specific request, and only with your consent. We do not sell personal data and do not run third-party advertising.
Your rights
You can request access, correction, export or deletion of your data at any time by emailing contact@mauritanianeye.com. Deletion removes your account and the associated profile, saved items, requests, comments, questions and submissions.
Cookies & analytics
We use minimal cookies required to keep you logged in. Any analytics we collect are aggregated and used to improve the platform; they are not shared with advertising networks.
