Photographs, corrections and first-hand detail from travellers, locals and guides.
Why contributions matter
Most of what is genuinely useful about travelling in Mauritania is held by people who live there or who have just come back. This project only works if that knowledge can be added, checked and corrected in public.
What you can contribute
- Photographs of a place, with the rights to share them.
- Corrections to a page: a road condition, a closure, a changed detail.
- First-hand practical notes: transport, fuel, water, network coverage.
- A review of a place, route, activity or operator you actually used.
How it is handled
- Everything is reviewed by a moderator before it appears publicly.
- We record who submitted media and on what terms, and we credit contributors.
- We may ask for a source or a date before publishing time-sensitive detail.
- We remove content on request from the person who submitted it.
What we cannot accept
Photographs you do not have the right to share, AI-generated images presented as real places, promotional copy for a business you have not disclosed, and anything that identifies people who have not agreed to appear.
